About the Meeting
The meeting is intended for scientists, resource managers, educators, students, policymakers, and others interested in atmospheric deposition, air quality, and its effects on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. NADP data has been used for decades to understand and solve real-world problems impacting people and the planet, including helping to facilitate cleaner water, healthier air quality, more productive fisheries, informed environmental planning, improved air quality and climate forecasting, and responsible environmental stewardship.

Symposium Theme: NADP 2026: Change is in the Air
The 2026 symposium will focus on how to maintain an environmental monitoring program in light of changing political wills and reducing budgets. While these will be the foci of the symposium, abstracts and presentations on any topic related to atmospheric deposition are welcomed. Symposium sessions will include:
June 14: Scientific Symposium
- Annual State of the NADP Address
- Keynote Address:
- Session 1: Evaluating methods to maintain scientific integrity with reduced or changing resources
- Session 2: Demonstrating economic benefits from continues environmental monitoring.
- Session 3: Review of the latest sample bio-capture technologies for mercury analysis.
- Poster Session
June 15: Scientific Symposium
- Session 4: The costs and benefits of aerial sampling programs.
- Session 5: Rain – What Is It? How Do We Measure It?
- Session 6: PFAS compound measurements in the Great Lakes region.
- Session 7: Developing a PFAS Critical Load for the Rocky Mountain moss populations.
- Closing Remarks
